Child labor is a common problem in Bangladesh now a days. Almost 5 million children are working in various sector such as garments factory, automobile workshop, restaurant, house maid etc. Among them 17% work in the rural area and 83% in the urban area. The rules or definition of child labor is not same all around the world. It varies from country to country, culture to culture. In Bangladesh the minimum age of a children to be engaged in physical work is 14 years but that rule is hardly followed. There are some reasons behind the problem…

First problem is POVERTY. Bangladesh is a poor country with 16 crore population. But more than 30 % people of the country lives under poverty line. So the parents find it difficult to maintain their family by themselves. So when their children are about 5 or 6 they send him/her to earn money.
Second problem is Education. There is a close relationship between education and child labor. A recent study found that almost 50% of the child laborer do not attend school at all. A very small amount of children continue both school and work. So if they were influenced to go to school the number of child laborer would must be lessened.

Another problem is GARMENTS FACTORY. At present Bangladesh is the 2nd  garments exporter of the world. It is contributing greatly in the economics of the country. Most of the workers employed in this garments are women and girl. So the number of child laborer increased.
Though it is not an easy task to eradicate this problem easily but our Government has taken some necessary steps to get rid of this problem as soon as possible.

The people of bangladesh is actually very friendly to foreigners and they are also very curious about them. When they saw someone from another country they get interested to talk with them and ask about them.Sometimes they got awkward after hearing this kind of personal questions. But the bangladeshi people want to get close to them and share their feelings with them. The do this with no intention and want to behave friendly.

When the foreigners go the rural area they got the most hospitality from the people of rural area and they really like that.Cause those people are very simple in their lifestyle and they treat people like them. They share everything to them and introduce their lifestyle as simple as they lead.

Foreigners are our guest and its our duty to take care of them but its a shame for us that some fraud and greedy people take advantages of them and coloured us to them.We have to stop this and make our country  hospitable to them.

Now a days in Bangladesh violence against women is increasing in an alarming rate,Almost every day we see this happening. At morning when we open newspaper we see that there was a rape or harassment,or any kind of brutal incident which is included with women's.the brutality level is gradually increasing but no one is concern about that without some of our leading newspaper company.Even in some places victims family is also neutral cause they are afraid of the people surrounding them and social position.

But it can't be a solution and we can not let go this issue like that.If any one want to live in this society he/she has to protest against this ferocious crime.Cause one day his/her family could be a victim.

With mass people, the leading social awareness institution and the government they all should have to take strict step together and work with the victims and her family to give them proper support and help them at any kind of situation where it is needed.

The poor or extreme poor who take micro credit should be also allowed to do so at bearable or nominal rate of interest. But even the interest rates charged on publicly run micro credit programmers continue to be rather oppressive for their poor receives. No great difficulty is see in the way of the government lending to the poor at much lower rates of interest because the government should not be in the business of squeezing out under interest from the poor.

Disbursing credit to the poor to make big financial gains out of the same cannot be the aim of government which claims  to be on the side of reducing poverty.
The recommended lower rates of interest on micro credit should meet both the need of viably running the official micro credit operation while also meeting the intended objectives of there programmers. The NGO’s in many cases also charge high interest on micro credits provided by them.

They also need to be persuade to significantly decrease the interest they charge and ought to base their credit operations truly for the benefit and advantage of the poor and not for only making good profits out of such operations. Not with standing the increase in opportunities for the poor to be the beneficiary of small credits from institutional sources, the remain still the victims of private money lenders of “mahajans”(money lenders) also in many cases. Studies on micro credit showed that mahajan continue to be a big factor in the micro credit scene exploiting  the gaps in institutional Availability of credits. this indicates the importance of increasing the networks of institutional credit both by the government and NGO’s .

But such expansion of networks by them needs to be accompanied also by adequate lowering of the interest charged on the credits. It is also imperative to introduce laws and enforce them strictly to curb the activities of mahajans

who in many cases take interest as high as 300% or something near that figure.
